Privacy and Data Use

Stryde AI ("Stryde," "we," "us," or "our") provides personalized running plans, coaching, workout analysis, live workout guidance, progress tools, and community features. This Privacy Policy explains what information Stryde processes, why we process it, how we share it, and the choices available to you.

Health, fitness, and training information

With your permission, Stryde reads information from Apple Health and HealthKit. This may include workouts, workout segments, distance, pace, heart rate, heart rate variability, resting heart rate, VO2 max, steps, active energy, sleep, recovery signals, and workout routes. Stryde may also save workouts and routes to Apple Health.

We process information you provide, such as training goals, race information, schedule, experience, age, biological sex, preferred units, injury or soreness context, and workout feedback.

Some analysis happens on your device. To generate personalized plans, workout analysis, Today’s Call, and other AI coaching, Stryde securely sends selected workout summaries, recovery summaries, training preferences, and relevant contextual facts through our Supabase backend to OpenAI. Stryde does not send your complete Apple Health database to OpenAI.

Health and fitness information is used only to provide and improve Stryde’s health, fitness, coaching, and safety features. We do not use health or fitness information for advertising, sell it, or send it to advertising partners or data brokers. Stryde provides fitness guidance, not medical advice.

Location, account, and profile information

During an outdoor workout, Stryde may use precise location to measure distance and pace, record your route, show your run on a map, and save the route to Apple Health. To add weather context to a completed run, Stryde may send a representative coordinate from the run to Open-Meteo to retrieve local historical weather. Stryde does not publish workout routes to Stryde Club or send raw routes to advertising partners.

You may use portions of Stryde without creating a reusable account. If you create an account, we may process your email address, authentication provider information, account identifier, and information needed to authenticate and support your account. If you create a Stryde Club profile, we process your chosen display name, profile picture or avatar, adult attestation, Community Guidelines acceptance, and public profile identifier.

Stryde Club, public Ideas, and photos

Stryde Club is a global community that can be read by people who are not signed in. If you post, reply, react, submit a public product idea, vote, or otherwise participate, your display name, profile picture or avatar, post or idea content, attached photo, reactions, and related activity may be visible to other users and visitors. Do not post information you want to keep private. Other people may save, copy, share, or capture public content even after you delete it.

Post and profile photos are optional. Before upload, the app re-encodes each selected image as a JPEG on your device and removes original file metadata, including embedded location metadata. The prepared image is sent to OpenAI for automated safety moderation. Approved images are stored in a private Supabase storage bucket and displayed in the public Club feed through short-lived signed links. Private storage prevents direct public bucket access, but the image itself is intended to be viewable by Club readers while published.

Reports, blocks, and moderation records are private. When content is reported, Stryde may retain a limited evidence copy while a safety review is open. Removing a post or profile picture queues its image for deletion. Deleting your account removes your owned Club photos, including when a report is open. Stryde Club is limited to people age 18 and older.

Feedback, purchases, analytics, and attribution

If you submit private feedback, support information, a rating, workout correction, cancellation survey, or feature request, we may process your selected reasons, rating, written message, subscription stage, app version, build number, operating system version, locale, installation identifier, and account identifier when signed in. We collect a contact email with feedback only when you choose to provide it and allow us to contact you. Public product ideas are separate from private feedback and may display your Club name and profile information.

Apple processes App Store payments. RevenueCat helps Stryde manage offerings, trials, subscription status, renewal state, cancellations, and access to paid features. Stryde may receive the product selected, price, currency, store, transaction status, trial status, renewal status, and subscription dates. If a separate lawful web purchase option is offered, Stripe may process payment details. Stryde does not receive or store full payment card numbers.

Stryde uses PostHog for product analytics. Analytics may include a pseudonymous installation identifier, account identifier when signed in, product interactions, feature usage, onboarding progress, app version, build number, device and operating system information, technical diagnostics, and subscription lifecycle events. If you are signed in, some analytics may be associated with your account or email address.

Stryde uses AppsFlyer, Apple attribution technologies, and advertising partners such as Meta to measure which campaigns lead to installs, trials, and subscriptions. Depending on platform settings and Stryde’s attribution configuration, these services may process installation or device identifiers, campaign information, app session events, and purchase or subscription events. Stryde does not send Apple Health data, workout routes, precise location, Club posts, Club photos, or private feedback text to advertising partners.
